It tells you
- Whether the spot you swabbed has mold on it
- Which molds the lab found on each swab, by name, like Cladosporium, Penicillium/Aspergillus or Stachybotrys
- A written lab report you can keep or show a contractor

- Test the air or the rest of the house
- Find hidden moisture or explain why it's growing
- Replace a professional inspection
Mold grows where moisture collects. If the lab finds growth, the moisture behind it is still the thing to fix.

How long do results take?
Results are ready a few business days after we receive your swabs. We email you when they’re posted, and you can view or download the lab report on the tracking page.
How do I check my order?
Go to the tracking page and enter the email you used at checkout. It shows where your order is, from shipping to your results.
Is return shipping included?
Yes. Your order email includes a prepaid USPS return label. When your swabs are ready, put them back in the envelope your kit came in, seal it with packing tape, tape the new label over the old one and drop it off at USPS.
What does the lab report show?
For each swab, the report lists the molds the lab found by name, like Cladosporium, Penicillium/Aspergillus or Stachybotrys, and which ones it didn’t find.
Will it tell me if it’s Stachybotrys?
Yes. If Stachybotrys is on a swab, your report lists it by name.
How many swabs do I need?
One swab per spot. Count the spots you want answers on, like a ceiling stain and a spot behind the toilet, and pick that many.
What comes in the kit?
Your swabs, step-by-step sampling instructions, and a sample form to send in with them.
When does my kit ship?
Kits ship in 1–2 business days from the day you order.
Is this a mold inspection?
No. It's a lab test of the spots you swab. It doesn't look for hidden moisture or check the rest of the house.
